Ultiman (formerly Superman; the name was changed after the Earth Crisis Arc of 1985) was a New York based super-hero whose adventures were published in sequential art form from 1938 to 1988. The 50th anniversary issue, 'Whatever Happened to the Ultimate Man?', which was also the last Ultiman adventure regularly published in the original run, is particularly prized by collectors, both for its quality and rarity. The publication of Ultiman comics was forbidden by the Rudy Giuliani regime, for making anti-administration comments about the 'American way', expressly violating Giuliani's New York nationalist policies. He reappeared during The North American War in the popular sequential art book The Green Knight Returns, as an adversary to the Bat-Man. His adventures have recently resumed in a N
