Kevin Harvick made it the hat trick at Phoenix, grabbing his third series victory at the track by holding off Kyle Busch. The real story, however, came in the points race, as Ron Hornaday, Jr. wrecked on lap one. It looked as though Johnny Benson, Jr. would then be able to finish well enough to take a comfortable points lead into Homestead.
