| Synopsis
| - Nomad Squadron is sent to Doragol to enforce the Ecological Security Code, and on arrival Torie Montroc sets about teaching the native peasants more ecologically sustainable methods of gathering marine life. He soon discovers the location of Aob-Sin, a conservationist documentary film maker, who has been missing for seven cycles after discovering the exploitative business practices of the local magnates. Meanwhile, Torqa Dun and Jugger Grimrod start making clandestine bargains of their own with the businessmen, and discover that an imminent attack on the legionnaires is planned. They rush back to defend their comrades, albeit too late to save Aob-Sin and many of the peasants living nearby. Nomad Squadron successfully beats back the attacking force, and are ordered back off-world soon thereafter. After they have left, some of the peasants turn away from their practice of poisoning marine life and blowing up corals, instead turning to practices inspired by Torie Montroc.
