| - Death Isn't Forever is a complete story by Michael Cook, with art from Jon Haward and Tom Frame. The story is a prequel to the first Eternal Champions story, showing how all nine Champions died and were revived by The Eternal Champion to take part in a combat tournament. After intense training, four bouts decide five losers ready to be sent home to die. Three of the remaining fighters make a pact to stick together and fight for their future as a team, but the bloodlust awakens in Midknight, causing them all to finish the competition. In the end, Shadow and Midknight join forces and convince the Eternal Champion to revive all the fallen Champions so that they may fight The Overlord.
