After the Sith Lord's demise, the lightsaber was entrusted to the Escalus family. Those wardens had to keep the weapon until an heir of Aloysius Kallig came to recover it. At the time of the Cold War, the Sith Inquisitor Kallig—the future Darth Nox—traveled to Nar Shaddaa in order to claim their inheritance. The lightsaber was normally kept by Mila Escalus, the last of the Escalus line, but had been stolen by mobster Gyl Rosen. The Lord Kallig then battled Rosen and retrieved their lightsaber. With this weapon, Kallig confronted Darth Zash in their final showdown.
