Barrier: Temporary Body Paralysis is a kekkai ninjutsu technique used to erect a field of chakra around the user that is visible only to doujutsu. Once breached, the opponent suffers immediate paralysis in a manner quite similar to the normal use of the technique. It is used to stop a charging opponent in their tracks and is particularly effective against opponents with high speed, though this jutsu cannot inhibit momentum for flying opponents. It merely stops them from physically moving under their own power. If stronger forms of chakra are used with this technique, the effect becomes more potent depending on the strength of the chakra. It is very difficult to release so long as the user maintains the technique and the target(s) lay within the barrier. However, it is impossible under norm

It is very difficult to release so long as the user maintains the technique and the target(s) lay within the barrier. However, it is impossible under normal circumstances to both maintain the barrier and move, due to the fact that to maintain the barrier, the hand seal must be held. Jonin level users of this technique can perform it with one hand by performing the half tiger hand seal. Alternatively, skilled users can activate this technique by clapping their hands together once.
