The common attribution for the Highlord species. The word "Aehls" came into popular use after the Highlords were contacted by Helics as a way of distinguishing the two species. Highlords were called "aehls", because that was the word in their own tongue for their own species. Helics were called "ancients". Since then, the Helics have derived naming conventions popularly used by the Basilicus Prime Galaxy, but the Helics and Highlords still tend refer to each other in this way.
