Debabrata Goswami, is an Indian engineer, inventor and educator. Goswami received his B.Tech at the Banaras Hindu University in 1952. Later, he received his M.Tech at the Manchester University. He was a founding member of Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, Assam, India. He spent his career at the college teaching Mechanical Engineering and retired as the Principal in 1987. His numerous inventions include Liquefied Petroleum Gas driven cars, Mechanical Robot Toy Car, etc. He also helped local industries in Assam at a time when high tech help was scarce in the region.
