They have thoroughly regenerated since the Macro Land wars, which took place not long before in Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. It turns out that this new commanding officer is draining energy out of Wars World to create and heal new units using a device called The Black Obelisk. Upon completing the campaign the Black Obelisk is destroyed, and Omega Land ceases to decline. A scene that plays afterwards shows a once-beautiful valley that Orange Star CO Jake used to love, sucked dry of all life. Then Blue Moon CO Sasha sees a flower on the floor, and tells Jake that
