He wrote the novels The List of Seven and its sequel The Six Messiahs with the later being the first official appearance of a character named Denver Bob Hobbes. Lynch owns the rights for the film adaptation of The List of Seven. Absent from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, Frost is returning as a writer for the 2017 series of Twin Peaks. He is also author of the books The Secret History of Twin Peaks and the upcoming Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier. He was additionally part of the former's audiobook cast. After confronting the leader he had enough information on the Cortez Cartel and began tracking down an assassin Walter Richardson, who was hired by the Russian Criminal Syndicate. During the Metro DC bombing, Mark got enough information on the bombing and knew that Walter Richardson supplied Loku 'Moram with enough explosives to destroy the subway station. He was later supposedly killed in his apartment by Walter before he could relay the information to his superiors. Back from the dead, he goes by the alias of 'Silentstroke' and plotted to kill Walter Richardson for revenge, but was already to late when he learned that another assassin by the alias of 'The Ghost Demon' had beat him to it. He tracked down 'The Ghost Demon', who told Mark that his real identity was Mitchel Sanders and that he was assassin for ONI. After explaining that it was all a set up by someone else the two fought. Mark was easily defeated, but did not believe Mitchel just yet. Mitchel continued to explain to Mark that it was all a set up and that they will find the person responsible. This eventually led them to finding Ryan Wilson as the suspect. Mark explained to Ryan that he faked his death and became a freelance assassin to get away from the politics of Law Enforcement. Ryan forgave him, and the two continued their work on taking down the dangerous criminals and powerful syndicates.
