Robotech: Variants is a four-part comic series, part of Antarctic Press' Robotech comic series. It features the backup story Introduction. The series is an expansion of Robotech: Tigercat, and shows an alternate future where the Robotech Defense Force builds four Megaroad-type Super Dimensional Fortresses although they are all destroyed by a Zentraedi invasion. It turns out to be a dream by an unconscious Lisa Hayes — however, Lisa's thoughts seem to suggest that it was actually an alternate timeline, and that the main timeline is only secondary to Lisa. The series is the only source to indicate that Lisa Hayes was in love with Roy Fokker.
