The Greater Unicorn (Unicornus magnus) is a large horse-like creature with a honey-brown coat and pink-tinged hooves. It has large eyes with a golden cast, and a single short horn in the middle of its forehead. It typically reaches 1.7 meters tall at the shoulder. Greater Unicorns generally look like tougher, larger versions of unicorns with shorter horns. It appears to have Awakened from the domestic horse (Equus caballus), similar to the Unicorn, although there are theories that it may have arisen from the wild Przewalski horse (Equus przewalski).

The Greater Unicorn is a diurnal herbivore that lives in small tight-knight family groups, occasionally forming herds of up to 30 individuals. There are unsubstantiated reports that they may have magical powers, including resistance to magic and empathic powers. They are certainly immune to pathogens and poisons. Many magicians consider the creature's horn as ideal for fetishes or telesma dealing with poisons and pathogens, and thus the greater unicorn is hunted by talismongers and poachers. They do not have the unicorn's allergy to pollutants, and thus they are found in mountainous regions throughout the world.
