The Human Genome Preservation Program was a secret interdisciplinary research program that ran from 2080 to 2113. It was established to prevent the impending extinction of humanity due to sterility caused by an extraterrestrial virus. HGPP ended in 2113, when it was succeeded by the PASIPHAE Project which aims to explore the opportunities presented by this new phase in human evolution.
