The Stour River was the British name for a river in Atlantis. The French called it the Erdre River. Prior to a mid 18th century global conflict, the river formed the border between English and French Atlantis. Roland Kersauzon launched his offensive against English forces by seizing a bridge over the Stour/Erdre. At the local climax of this war, Roland Kersauzon's forces destroyed all bridges over the Stour behind them as they retreated to Nouveau Redon, where they prepared to stand siege. With Britain victorious, the river ceased to be a border, and was more widely called the Stour.
