Jennette Arnold is a Labour Party member of the London Assembly. Born in Montserrat, Arnold trained as a nurse. In 1998 she was elected to Islington London Borough Council as a councillor for Mildmay Ward. When the first elections to the London Assembly were held in May 2000 she was on the Labour Party list for "London-wide" seats: she was fourth on the party list but Labour were only entitled to three seats.
