Jennette Arnold is a Labour Party member of the London Assembly. Born in Montserrat, Arnold trained as a nurse. In 1998 she was elected to Islington London Borough Council as a councillor for Mildmay Ward. When the first elections to the London Assembly were held in May 2000 she was on the Labour Party list for "London-wide" seats: she was fourth on the party list but Labour were only entitled to three seats. However she became an assembly member in July of the same year when David Lammy stood down when elected member of parliament for Tottenham. More information on the Wikipedia page [1].
