Regula was a Catholic saint who was decapitated by the Romans in 286 along with Felix and Exuperantius. According to legend, they carried their own heads to the top of a hill and buried themselves. Indiana Jones would tell the story to George McHale in 1943 as an example of how the undead played a part in most cultures and societies.
