After Restuss's destruction, Grot was killed by Rebel commandos along with the Dark Troopers that were guarding him. Miraculously however, superior medical technology allowed him to be resuscitated. Being a Zabrak, he was one of the few non-Humans ever allowed to serve in the Imperial military.
