The Administration Building was previously featured in the background of some shots during the teaser of the third season episode "Future's End, Part II" . On Tuesday 27 August 1996 , the production filmed on this "plaza – Bronson Gate area" scenes 2 – 4 with actors Robert Duncan McNeill, Tim Russ, and Sarah Silverman. The building was designed by Ruth E. Morris and built between April and July 1926. The long, two-stories structure is located west of the Bronson Gate and has housed offices of studio executives, dressing rooms, post-production suites, conference rooms, and operations department office space. (Paramount: City of Dreams, p. 73) In the 1970s, one of the conference rooms in this building housed a meeting of Michael Eisner, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Gary Nardino, Gene Roddenberry, and Robert Goodwin which led to the decision to produce Star Trek: Phase II. [1] The Paramount Administration Building was renamed into Sumner Redstone Building, after the Viacom Executive Chairman Sumner Redstone, during Paramount's 100th birthday on 1 June 2012 . [2] [3]
