Scot Brian Kleinendorst (born January 16, 1960 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota) is a former American ice hockey defenseman. Chosen 98th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft, Kleinendorst also played in the NHL for the Hartford Whalers and Washington Capitals. He played for Providence College from 1978 to 1982 and then joined the United States team in the 1982 World Championship. Kleinendorst turned pro in the Rangers' system in 1982-83 and split his time between New York and the minors. Injuries limited his ice time. His brother is Kurt Kleinendorst.
