abstract	The New Darkness series was an AU fanfiction series that takes place during the original trilogy, Yuuzhan Vong War and Second Galactic Civil War, over the course of five seasons. It introduced Aliyah Palpatine and Zoran Skywalker and their adventured were split into five seasons: Shadowed Hope, False Revenge, Unseen Betrayal, Unlikely Alliance and Dawn of Darkness. Season one - Shadowed Hope, was a complete AU rewriting of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, it included a number of changes including the introduction of Darth Regis, Darth Jovan, the survival of Alderaan and an extension showing the Blockading of Yavin 4. Season two - False Revenge, was a complete AU rewriting of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back but starts earlier than the movie did as the season outlines the major events that happened between Season one and Season two, it introduces a new Fleet Taskforce led by Darth Regis that comes to aid in the Blockading of Hoth. In the end, Luke Skywalker makes an ally of his brother Zoran and Aliyah, but was everything as it seemed? Season three - Unseen Betrayal, was a complete AU rewriting of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Luke allied with Zoran and Aliyah faced off against Darth Vader and Palpatine however he was instead betrayed. Not even mourning the death of his father, Zoran revealed that he had no interest in turning from the Dark side and that everything Luke did was part his his and Regis' designs, Jovan takes the remaining Imperial Fleet elements and abandoned Endor as they go off to form their Sith Empire. Season four - Unlikely Alliance, was an AU that rewrites much of the Yuuzhan Vong War as an alliance between the New Republic and Sith Infinite Empire formulate to face off against the invaders, but why would the Sith bargain interest in such defense when the Republic's collapse seems inevitable? Season five - Dawn of Darkness, was an AU of the Second Galactic Civil War and instead took place in 44 ABY, the Sith Empire grows in strength and the rising of Rebel factions within the Galactic Alliance gives the Empire their reason to assist a new war.
