The DP20B Frigate is an upgraded version of the original Corellian Gunship. This vessel has been heavily modified to produce a significantly faster vessel, with the main sacrifice having been weaponry. Instead of simply having weaponry to outclass other ships of its size, the gunship now has appropriate weaponry for a vessel its size, but is now capable of literally running circles around its opponent. These features make it more of a 'blockade runner' than the Corellian Corvette turned out to be. In addition to greater sublight speeds, it is now also equipped with a class 1 hyperdrive, allowing it to keep up with vessels such as the Imperial-class Star Destroyer.
