The JISC also works internationally with organizations in support of the global infrastructure to ensure appropriate and sustainable information and communication technologies provision for the UK education and research communities. The JISC has supported the development of digital preservation through its Digital Preservation and Records Management and predecessor programmes and collaboratively supports services such as the Digital Curation Centre. The JISC legal service provides the tertiary education sector with legal information in order to prevent legal issues from becoming a barrier to the adoption of information and communications technologies in learning, teaching and administration.
