Arms and the Man was a comic play by George Bernard Shaw, first staged in 1894. It is set during the 1885 Serbo-Bulgarian War, and satirically questions the conventional values of both war and love. Dr. Beverly Crusher staged a production of Arms and the Man aboard the USS Enterprise-E in early 2373, with Lieutenant Paul Porter in the role of Bluntschli.
