  • Born on Mortis, Tara Surrel was raised as a member of the Fellowship of the Force, a group of force-users who served the Ones and helped keep balance with the Force. However, when the Chosen One was born, the Ones banished the Fellowship from Mortis. They would relocate to Odessen, a planet strongly attuned with the Force. One of the 12 members selected by the Fellowship to seek out the Chosen One, Tara felt betrayed upon te discovery that Anakin Skywalker had joined the Jedi Order. While the rest of her peers saw this as proof that the Chosen One was to defet the Sith, Tara refused to accept that the Fellowship was founded eons ago based on a misinterpretation. This would lead to Tara falling to the dark side, as she believed that if the Chosen One was a Jedi, he would require a Sith counterpart to keep balance within the Force.
