Charles John Ridgeway (14 July 1841 – 28 February 1927) was a Church of England clergyman. The son of the vicar of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, Ridgeway was educated at St Paul's School and Trinity College, Cambridge, graduating in 1865. He was ordained as a priest in 1866 and held a number of posts before moving to London as vicar of Christchurch, Lancaster Gate, in 1884. he was made a Prebendary of St Paul’s Cathedral and Rural Dean of Paddington in 1901. From 1891-1894 he was a member of the London School Board, representing Marylebone. Details of some writings here [1].
