They were dagger-shaped, like almost all warships in the first sector, but were just as heavily armed as any star destroyer. Each ship contained five heavy turbolaser batteries, three medium turbolaser batteries, five point-defense laser cannon batteries and two tractor beam batteries. The ships carried a small complement of twelve Predator-class fighters and one shuttle to supplement anti-fighter systems. These small ships were used like wedges in combat, prying enemy lines apart at weak spots in formations. However, they were useless against superior formations like the Vanjervalis chain.
