The Missile Trooper is a Galactic Federation Trooper. The soldier itself is taller than any standard trooper encountered in the Prime series (presumably due to superior armour), and fires powerful missiles. These are the only differences between Missile Troopers and GF Troopers. In Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, there is a Missile Trooper corpse in the Temple Grounds. It somehow appears in the Hive Chamber A after Samus Aran's exploration, and it was possessed by the Ing, becoming the Dark Missile Trooper.

- Missile Trooper (パープル, Purple, in Japan) is an enemy that appears in Bomberman 64. Missile Troopers are elite soldiers of Altair who only appear in Black Fortress, wherein they carry missile launchers to repel intruders. They move very slowly and aimlessly, occasionally pausing to look around, and will stun Bomberman on collision. When Bomberman comes to close to a Missile Trooper, he will stop moving and fire a missile at him, which is lobbed through the air for a short distance before exploding on the ground. The resulting explosion is small, but acts as a normal explosion and can detonate bombs and harm Bomberman or other enemies.

Each Missile Trooper takes two bomb blasts to defeat, but a single Pumped Bomb thrown on top of him will defeat him instantly. In Hard Mode, they move and fire more quickly, and take three bomb blasts to destroy.
