| - Assistant Cut began in September 2005- Present. Assistant Cut has had four seasons and is currently in its 5th season. It is hosted by Edward Rod and in season 3 it is co-hosted by Viani Bal. Assistant Cut was made in order to create and assistant position for qualified students. The same group of students are chosen and used throughout all the seasons. The students were specifically chosen by Edward Rod and Pastors Enrique and Celia Patino. Season 1- The Challenge: The Challenge was the first season of Assistant Cut. The Challenge consisted of a 6 week challenge in which the students would learn about the 6 important qualities to be an assistant. The 6 important qualities consist of Teamwork, Frienship, Courage, Love, Sincerity and Knowledge. In each week the 12 students either one two or three students would be cut from The Challenge. The Winning Prize for Season 1 was a $20 gift card. Week 1- Teamwork: The students were put into two groups of 6 and both had to complete various challenges. The group that won those two challenges would be completely safe from being eliminated. In this case each group won at least one challenge and one person from each team was eliminated. First Spot: Janet Eliminated: Carlos and Gabriella Week 2- Frienship: The remaining 10 students were put into groups of 2 and had to perform a skit about different problems happening in school life. Though there were two bottom groups, 3 people had to be eliminated so 1 person of the two bottom groups was safe. In this case it was Angel. First Spot: Linda and Viani Eliminated: Janet and Jairo; Liliana. Week 3- Love: This week there was a twist. They students right away got the opportunity to eliminate one students from the class. They all chose "Alex." The twist was that the student they chose would actually have immunity from being eliminated and would not have to participate in the challenge. The other 6 students had to quickly write 10 great things about "Alex." All of them completed the task except Linda and Cynthia who did not even show up. First Spot: Angel Eliminated: Cynthia and Linda Week 4- Courage:This week the remaining students were asked to write down what there fear was. Angel and Viani both said they were afraid of the Dark. Nick, Daniella and Alex said they were afraid of public speaking. Nick, Daniella and Alex had to present a small lecture in front of the class by themeselves. Angel and Viani had to walk into a pitch black forest all the way to the end. Daniella and Alex were able to fully complete there task. Viani was able to Complete her task. Angel did now want to confront the task. Nick did not complete the task. First Spot: Viani Eliminated: Nick and Angel Week 5- Sincerity: This week the final three students were asked to complete an original story that involved the protagonist of the story to be honest and sincere. All three had completed the challenge. Then they were asked a series of questions about the whole competition. All were asked whether or not they truly wanted to win. Viani mentioned that she really didnt mind who won, while the other two mentioned they did want to win. First Spot: Alex Eliminated: Viani Week 6- Knowledge: For the final challenge both students were asked two complete a series of questions. Then after completing the questions both students had to take one final test on how much they have learned throughout the competition. Edward wanted to see how much had they really learned or how much knowledge do they have from learning throughout the whole 6 weeks. Daniella scored a 9 out of 12 on the test while Alex scored a 9 out of 12. Both would have been announced as the winners of the competition, but the other 10 students that had previously been eliminated were asked to vote on who they thought should win. The Class' choice would recieve one extra point on their test. The class chose Daniella, making her the Winner by one point. Winner: Daniella Runner up: Alex Season 2- The First Assistant:The First Assistant was season 2 of Assistant Cut. The season focused more on finding an assistant for Edward Rod. The challenges taken place in this challenge were much harder than season 1. This season 10 students came back and two students were dropped (Cynthia and Liliana). A new student was added in week 3 (Obed). After a student is eliminated the student has a chance to pick a card from the Chart of Chances. In the chart of Chances there are 16 cards. 14 cards say OUT and 2 of the Cards say SAFE. If the student that was eliminated chose a safe card then that student would be granted safety and re-entry into the competition. Season 2 was on for 8 weeks. The Winner of this challenge not only would be crowned The Assistant but would also recieve an MP4 Music Player. Viani Bal. Was Crowned the Winner of Assistant after having been eliminated twice this season. Week 1: Be Cool: The students were asked to perform a challenge under Pressure. Winners: Linda Bottom 3: Janet, Gabriella, Viani Eliminated: Viani Chart of Chances: Viani Pulled a Safe Card Safe: Viani Week 2: Knowledge is Power: Students were put into 5 groups of Two and were asked to make a newspaper. Winners: Alex and Jairo Bottom 2: Carlos and Viani, Nick and Daniella Eliminated: Nick and Daniella Chart of Chances: Both Pulled OUT Cards Week 3: Anger: Students were asked to paint a picture that reminded them of a time when they were angry and mad then they had to present it to the class. A New Student (Obed) was brought into the competition. The Class Voted on the Bottom 3. Winners: Carlos Bottom 3: Alex, Jairo, Gabriella Eliminated: Alex Chart of Chances: Alex Pulled OUT Card Week 4: Fight Right: Students were put into two groups of 4 and both had to choose one member to not participate in the challenge. Group 1: Linda, Janet, Obed and Gabriella. Group 1 chose Gabriella. Group 2: Carlos, Viani, Angel and Jairo. Group 2 Chose Jairo. Both Groups had to debate on a certain topic. The people that did not participate were not safe incase their group won. Winners: Group 1 Bottom 3: Viani, Gabriella, Jairo Eliminated: Gabriella and Viani Chart of Chances: Gabriella Pulled: OUT CARD; Viani Pulled: The Last Safe Card. Safe: Viani Week 5: Give and Take: Students were asked to bring their most valuable item. Then they were asked to give it away to a charity. There was a twist. After everyone had decided whether or not to give it away, all the items were given back. The students were being tested on their genorosity, Two came out on top. Winners: Viani and Obed Bottom: Jairo Eliminated: Jairo Chart of Chances: OUT Card Week 6 and 7: In Their Shoes and Check It: The students had to write a story as if they were in the shoes of someone else. In Check it The studnets had a notebook check. Out of both weeks only one student was eliminated. Winners: Obed Bottom 2: Angel and Janet Eliminated: Janet Chart of Chances: Out Card Week 8: Act It: The remaining students had to act out an important skit about a very serious problem in teenagers of today. Drugs, gangs and violence. One had to direct, the other had to write the play out and the others had to act. Winners: Viani Bottom 3: Linda, Angel, Carlos Eliminated: Carlos Chart of Chances: OUT CARD Week 9: Know it all: The final four students had to take a quiz in which they would pull out a card from a box and got the opportunity to ask the question to whom ever they wanted. The first two students to miss 3 questions were automatically out. Then in the final challenge the last two students were asked to use their notes in their notebook to present a class to Edward and the third place student (Obed). Viani presented Week 5 Give and Take. Linda Presented Week 6 In Thier shoes. Then Edward and Obed had to choose the Assistant. Both Ladies were brought in and both had name tags. Edward told both that they had done a great job but before he announced the winner one more student had to remove their name tag. He asked Viani to remove her name tag and with a twist he gave her a new name tag that said ASSISTANT and her name. Viani was crowned the First Assistant. Assistant: Viani Runner Up: Linda 3rd Place Out: Obed 4th Place Out: Angel OUT/SC- The student was Eliminated but The student chose a Safe Card and was granted Safety Season 3: Team Challenges: The students were put into 6 groups of 2. These team challenges would be who can do the most work and get the most points and win the most challenges as a team. Teams: 1) Alex and Janet (AJ) 2) Nick and Carlos(NC) 3) Linda and Angel (LA) 4) Daniella and Jairo (DJ) 5)Obed and Gabriella (OG) 6) Carlos M and Jonathon (CJ)The first team to reach 50 points would win a PRIZE PACKAGE. Team Challenges only went on for 6 Weeks. Then a team had been named the winners. Winners: The winners of season 3 Team Challenges were Daniella and Jairo. They Won because of their hard work, great team work. They were considered the underdogs but in the end they took it. OBed and Gabriella were very close. Season 4: Most Improved:
