The 1964 Atlanta 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on April 5, 1964. Fred Lorenzen dominated the event, leading 206 of the 334 laps in route to a strong three-lap victory on Bobby Isaac. Eventual season champ Richard Petty finished 7th. Stats
