Five days after the civilian fleet left the orbit of Ragnar Anchorage, an individual claiming to be Amarak contacted Colonial One, requesting a meeting with President Laura Roslin. He indicated that he had vital information regarding how Cylon forces were able to bypass and shut down Colonial defenses during their assault on the Colonies.

Five days after the civilian fleet left the orbit of Ragnar Anchorage, an individual claiming to be Amarak contacted Colonial One, requesting a meeting with President Laura Roslin. He indicated that he had vital information regarding how Cylon forces were able to bypass and shut down Colonial defenses during their assault on the Colonies. However, the ship he was on, the Olympic Carrier was suspected of having been taken over by Cylons when it failed to make an FTL jump with the rest of the fleet, only to appear later. In order to protect the fleet, the Olympic Carrier was destroyed by Captain Leland Adama and Lieutenant Kara Thrace under the orders of both the president, and Commander William Adama. Doctor Amarak was presumed dead in the explosion.
