Kuroki no Tsurugi is a rather interesting blade in terms of aesthetic design. It is seemingly forged from a combination of tamahagane as well as blood of an unidentified species, although Takama believes it to have been an animal Sage. In accordance, the color of the katana is a deep grey at the center of the blade. Fanning out, the blade transitions into a deep red color, clearly being dyed with the color of blood. Near the base of the blade is thinner than the rest of it, this design element having an unnamed purpose. The crossguard is a vibrant lavender, circular in shape and with no distinctive pattern embedded to it. Likewise, the hilt has a similar color, albeit with a red finish that is slightly bulkier than the rest of the hilt, limiting where Takama can grip it effectively.
