Conscripts are the Romeran standard infantry. They wear simple khaki uniforms and toquillas, with no real concern for body armor, which would only be an obstruction in the hot, humid climate of Gondwana. Recruits are usually armed with semi-automatic rifles. Although anti-vehicular warfare is not really a priority in the prohibitive environs of Gondwana, occasionally there is very large and very well armored game to deal with. In order to deal with just that, conscripts are also occasionally armed with rocket launchers long phased out of use with other armies. With these weapons, conscripts are also capable of engaging low-flying aircraft and more than capable of handling anything but the biggest game. Recruits do not customarily have bayonets and instead resort to their machetes in close
