She worked hard to put herself through law school with Tommy's support. Meeting Christopher was the greatest thing to happen in her life, and for the first time in a long time, she feels truly safe and ready to lean on someone. Upon returning to Southfork with Christopher, she is determined to have the wedding go off without a hitch and start their new life together. She quickly befriends Elena in the hopes of learning more about Christopher and finding her own place at Southfork as the new Mrs. Ewing. During the course of the first season, it is revealed that she and her brother Tommy were playing Christopher, just to get to his money. However their schemes are put in danger when John Ross finds out that the e-mail that broke up Elena and Christopher was sent from Rebecca's computer he blackmails her. Fearing that she will lose Christopher she decides to tell Christopher the truth about her and Tommy, and that although she agreed to help Tommy she had no idea that Tommy had sent the e-mail, until just a little while ago. Christopher then proceeds to tell Rebecca that he never wants to see her again. Even though Christopher made it clear he wanted nothing to do with her, she still tries to win back his trust by giving him documents that she found that clearly state the mineral rights belong to Bobby. Despite this he still does not forgive her but he does thank her for her help. Later, it is revealed that she is pregnant and at first Christopher wants nothing to do with her, he later comes around and even holds her hand, as he tears up and looks at the sonogram of their twins. It comes out, that Tommy wasn't her brother but her ex-boyfriend.
