Julie Shipley appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: firstly as joiner Jill Marriott who worked at Fairclough and Langton for one day in January 1976, and she returned to the programme as fashion designer Christine Millward between January and February 1985. Born in Leeds in 1959, her television debut was on Junior Showtime and her credits include The Mallens, How We Used to Live and Open All Hours. She also co-starred with Ray Winstone in one of his early films, That Summer, filmed in Torquay in 1979.
