A Vulcan science vessel was a type of science vessel utilized by the Vulcans during the 24th century. The science vessels usually transmitted messages to other starships through a Vulcan band frequency. In 2369, a Vulcan science vessel was one of two ships that had departed Deep Space 9 on the day that Ibudan was murdered. (DS9: "A Man Alone") A line cut from an early draft of DS9: "Business as Usual" referred to a Vulcan science vessel, named the T'Pan, which had requested permission to dock at Deep Space 9, and was granted to put in at Docking Bay Three.

It detected an explosion in the Chamra Vortex, where it located and offered assistance to the Starfleet runabout USS Ganges. It later transported two Rakhari back to Vulcan. (DS9: "Vortex") A line cut from an early draft of DS9: "Business as Usual" referred to a Vulcan science vessel, named the T'Pan, which had requested permission to dock at Deep Space 9, and was granted to put in at Docking Bay Three.
