On April 1, 2011, a motion was made to bring Wookieepedia up to the 21st century, in order to compete with George Lucas's new vision for the Star Wars saga. With the announcement that Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace would be re-released in 3-D, Wookieepedia underwent a simulated three-dimensional transformation, with both text and images, including an alternate version of both the Monobook and Wordmark Wookieepedia logos. Also once again, was nominated for Wookieepedian of the Month, as well as notable wiki vandal Willy on Wheels.

  • On April 1, 2011, a motion was made to bring Wookieepedia up to the 21st century, in order to compete with George Lucas's new vision for the Star Wars saga. With the announcement that Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace would be re-released in 3-D, Wookieepedia underwent a simulated three-dimensional transformation, with both text and images, including an alternate version of both the Monobook and Wordmark Wookieepedia logos. To also celebrate the ongoing Wookiee Week, the Featured Article was Mermeia, a three-dimensional "Holographic Wow" who perversely entertained Attichitcuk. The Quote of the Day was also replaced with her erotic language and giggling. Attempts to reverse the effects of the 3-D Wookieepedia were futile as discussions were already being made in how to make the change permanent, even making it as far as the agenda of the upcoming Mofference. Subsequently many items on that page were false or changed to humorous effect. The third level of the 3-D prank was the creation and display of an announcement at midnight Eastern time of a Cease and Desist levied by Lucasfilm Ltd., on the basis that Wookieepedia violated its "fair use" status with 3-D text and images. The order declared Wookieepedia be shut down by 12:00, March 4 (am or pm not specified). In addition, an administrator submitted a request to unblock all previously blocked users from the site, stating unfair persecution by the administration. The submitter was then encountered with a vote to block him. Also once again, was nominated for Wookieepedian of the Month, as well as notable wiki vandal Willy on Wheels.
