Sir Edgar Bonham-Carter (2 April 1870 – 24 April 1956) was a barrister, colonial administrator and local politician. Educated at Oxford (during which time he played rugby for England) he graduated in 1892 and was called to the bar at Lincoln's Inn in 1895. In 1899 he was appointed Legal Secretary of the Sudan and in 1919 he became Senior Judicial Officer of Mesopotamia. Article in Wikipedia [1].
