He also appeared in G.B.H., The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes, The Grand, Emmerdale and Unforgiven. He was the son of Coronation Street original and much-loved cast member Arthur Leslie who played Rovers landlord Jack Walker for the first ten years of the programme's transmission and it was Tony who had the sad duty of telephoning producer June Howson on the morning of Tuesday 30th June 1970 to inform her of his father's sudden death from a heart attack earlier that day. His mother, Betty Morton Powell, also appeared in Coronation Street in June 1963.
