Takegakure (竹葉隠れの里, Takegakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden by Bamboo") is the current shinobi village of the Land of Whirlpools and was founded by the Kumade clan. As the successor of Uzushiogakure it houses strong fūinjutsu, though nowhere near as powerful as Uzushiogakure's. Their leader is known as the Kinshō. There has only been one official Kinshō. The village shares the same style of clothing from Konohagakure. As evidenced by an abundance of swirl patterns and green flak jackets. They updated their flak jackets alongside Konohagakure after the Fourth Shinobi World War.

  • Takegakure (竹葉隠れの里, Takegakure no Sato; Literally meaning "Village Hidden by Bamboo") is the current shinobi village of the Land of Whirlpools and was founded by the Kumade clan. As the successor of Uzushiogakure it houses strong fūinjutsu, though nowhere near as powerful as Uzushiogakure's. Their leader is known as the Kinshō. There has only been one official Kinshō. Shinobi from this village believe that the preservation of the life of a comrade is more important in a mission than anything else and all efforts of protecting one another must be made. This originates from the Kumade clan's own personal nindō. As such the village does not suffer from many deaths in missions and a high population, however this sometimes leads to a failed mission. The village shares the same style of clothing from Konohagakure. As evidenced by an abundance of swirl patterns and green flak jackets. They updated their flak jackets alongside Konohagakure after the Fourth Shinobi World War. In order to make sure there will never be an incident like the one that had destroyed Uzushiogakure, the Kumade used their kekkei genkai, Bamboo Release, to create a natural defense on top of the abundance of whirlpools. So they expanded a bamboo forest, originally private Kumade land, far away from Uzushiogakure, it started in the middle of land but after many months they were able to grow it until it reached the coast. There it achieved easy access to the Ōnamazu Cave and the ocean.
