In reality, Alizome had been assigned to a special mission by the Autarch to make the Tzenkethi Coalition the dominant power within the Typhon Pact. It was theorized by Autarch Korzenten that Praetor Tal'Aura would use the Romulan's military might and size to their advantage when lobbying for leadership of the Pact. He delivered broad authority to his representative to carry out her mission, which involved her murdering not only Senator Xarian Dor, but also her assassinating Tal'Aura herself in order to elivate a lesser threat to their Coalition to leadership of the Empire. Ironically, the Romulan Senate themselves appointed Alizome's preference for the leadership role: Senator Gell Kamemor - the woman who replaced Xarian Dor in the Romulan Senate.
