In this rarely performed rite, a Garou rejects the auspice or tribe under which he or she was born and chooses a new auspice or tribe (respectively). If renouncing auspice, it must be performed during the phase of the moon the Garou wishes to embrace. When this rite is performed, the Garou takes on the new auspice or tribe, but loses all benefits of his prior life, including Rank and usage of gifts native only to the previous auspice or tribe.
