The Adjudicators (Schatjamaetrish in Tymantheran) were an organization of dragonborn soldiers gathered from every clan, who served as the police force of Djerad Thymar under the direct command of the Vanquisher. When there was a crime a dragonborn clan could not handle on their own, it was the duty of the Adjudicators to take care of it. Members of the Adjudicators used golden beads beneath their eyes as piercings, mimicking the same kind of piercings used by the Vanquisher.

  • The Adjudicators were Forkrul Assail who rose to power in Kolanse and set about "cleansing" the continent of Lether. The leaders were known as the Pures, or "The Lawful Inquisitors" and their troops were the Watered. It was said that their cult was founded on the Spire, a promontory in the bay of Kolanse which is where they first settled, building a temple and then a fortress. The Adjudicators were supposed to have arrived in ships of bone from a place called the Wretched Coast about fifty to sixty years prior to events in The Crippled God. Initially, only a single ship, crewed by slaves, brought about a dozen Pures to the nation. The king welcomed the emissary they sent, giving her an audience during which the emissary pointed a finger at the king and pronounced his fall. This resulted in a bloodbath from which only the Pure walked away. Another one hundred ships bearing Watered had arrived in the meantime. These and those that arrived season after season from then on, set out from Estobanse Province and began subjugating all of Kolanse, toppling one dynasty after another, calling their reign of terror the "Age of Justice". Kalyth described them to Stormy thus: "They were priests. Their cult was founded on the Spire, which is a promontory in the bay of Kolanse, and it was there that they first settled, building a temple and then a fortress." ―Kalyth on the Adjudicators
