Ennis Janhson better known as Animal Lad was a metahuman with the power to alter biological matter, he changed animals into humans and vice versa. He was rejected alongside two other characters who couldn't even make it onto the team after it was usurped by Vorm, the evil Dynamo Boy. Ironically, Ennis was rejected only because he was incorruptible. Had he reapplied to the proper Legion, after Dynamo Boy's evil schemes were undone, Ennis' life might have turned out quite differently.

He was rejected alongside two other characters who couldn't even make it onto the team after it was usurped by Vorm, the evil Dynamo Boy. Ironically, Ennis was rejected only because he was incorruptible. Had he reapplied to the proper Legion, after Dynamo Boy's evil schemes were undone, Ennis' life might have turned out quite differently. Unlike some other rejected members he felt no malice towards the Legion, nor did he wish to create his own team. Instead, he took up a career in animal husbandry. He now works at the Central Director for Endangered Species Control, trying to save some of the dying species of Earth.
