| - The season 3 episode "The Mom Attractor / Cranius Maximus" premiered one week before Mother's Day, on May 4, 2012. Much of the potential audience instead decided to go watch The Avengers on its opening day, which holds the No. 2 single day ticket sales of all time (unadjusted for inflation) at over $80 million. As a result, Phineas and Ferb could only attract 2.244 million viewers, a 24 percent decrease from the previous week. Despite the unimpressive total viewership, Phineas and Ferb was still able to crack the Top 10 in one of its target age groups. Among Kids 6-11, the new episode checked in at No. 5 with a 4.9 rating, finishing second on the night behind its lead-in Jessie. Viewership dropped to a 0.3 rating among Adults 18-49 in line with the rest of the age group figures. Phineas and Ferb kicks off its summer vacation slate with the first of the anticipated hour-long specials, "Phineas and Ferb Save Summer", on Monday, June 9 at 10:00AM Eastern (9:00AM Central). Since some of us (who aren't in the show's target demographic anyways) have to work during the day, it looks like the official The Numbers Game DVR will have plenty of work of do going forward. Before that, though, we head back into the archives next issue. Until then, leave your comments down below, stay warm out there, and remember...that the numbers never lie.
