Thus, from an early age, Tos had an appreciation for the Republic. He had a devotion to the ideals of democracy and what it could do for the people of the galaxy.   • Tos Kiurne was born on Kel Dor in 27 BBY. As he was born before the end of the Clone Wars, he remembers the Old Republic. Just a child when the Clone Wars started, he watched as the Republic fought against the forces of General Grievous and the Separatists during the Battle of Kel Dor. Thus, from an early age, Tos had an appreciation for the Republic. He had a devotion to the ideals of democracy and what it could do for the people of the galaxy. His father supported Supreme Chancellor Palpatine at first, but after Palpatine made more and more bids for power, his father knew that soemthing was amiss. Shortly after Order 66, his family watched as they were made part of the newly formed Galactic Empire. Tos knew from an early age that the Empire was wrong and as more and more star systems began to feel the oppression that was Palpatine's regime, the people needed something to be done. His parents' oppposition to the new Galactic Empire resulted in their deaths. As a result, Tos was living with relatives of his by the time he was ten. But he remembered his parent's sacrifice, and more importantly, what they had been fighting for. He understood that the government wasn't going to help the people and do what was needed to be done. So he resolved to fight. From the age of ten, Tos started to learn everything he could about the art of war, and how to wage it. He studied hard, alearning a number of different martial arts. He also got his uncle to teach him how to shoot blasters and he worked on his marksmanship. Last but not least, Tos, starting with landspeeders and slowly graduating upwards, learned how to fly and became an incredibly talented pilot. He knew one thing, that when he started to fight the Imperials, they wouldn't know what had hit them. When he was twenty, he was introduced by some of the members of his family who supported the Rebel Alliance, to the underground Rebel cell that worked on Dorin. He was able to join them, and quickly rose through the ranks of the organization. The group had a cobbled together half a squadron of fighters, mainly just modified Z-95 Headhunters and modified CloakShape Fighters. They weren't able to make a huge impact against the Empire, but they did what they could, and they set up a small base on Dorin itself. They struck against Imperial shipping and Imperial loyalists, before returning, through hyperspace routes that only they knew, to the safety of Dorin. It was then that Tos met two people who were going to change his life forever.
