The Third Clone Wars, also known as the Dark Clone Wars, was the name given to the galaxy-wide conflict which ultimately erupted in 64 ABY and ended in 73 ABY. In this chaotic, horrifying, and dreadful war, former clone troopers of the Galactic Republic's fallen Great Clone Forces who had survived Order 50-1 rose to uphold a rebellion against the Dark Galactic Republic, forming their own Clone Rebel Alliance in their fight for liberty.

In this chaotic, horrifying, and dreadful war, former clone troopers of the Galactic Republic's fallen Great Clone Forces who had survived Order 50-1 rose to uphold a rebellion against the Dark Galactic Republic, forming their own Clone Rebel Alliance in their fight for liberty. Since the end of the Second Clone Wars, with victory in the hands of the Republic, leftover clones were then deemed useless, beside having been labelled as prisoners of war and exterminated by the public. These clone troopers were forced into hiding from the world, and a majority of them began new lives, working as ordinary citizens throughout the galaxy.
