  • Tarn Erin was a female human born on the planet of Missouri in the year 63 BBY. She was the daughter of a former member of the Bene Gesserit Sisterhood who originally hailed from the Milky Way Galaxy. Tarn Erin's mother was originally a political refugee from the Milky Way Imperium who disagreed with it's prohibition on artificial intelligence for computers and droids. Tarn inherited from her mother an ability to use the Force. Due to this, she was treated as a second-class citizen and potential criminal because her homeworld was part of the Coalition Worlds. By 30 BBY, she had ended up on the planet Coruscant, capital of the Galactic Republic. The Jedi Order rejected her because she was too old and the Jedi feared she might slide to the dark side of the Force. Nevertheless, Tarn Erin caught the eye of Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, who made Tarn a political advisor. Tarn Erin continued to serve Palpatine after he became ruler of the Galactic Empire. By 0 ABY, however, she had become fed up with the bias against non-human species and independent Force users Palpatine's Empire had embraced. She did not join the Rebel Alliance, but, rather, returned to the Coalition Worlds in order to stir up dissent, sedition, and even armed rebellion against the rule of House Prosek.
