The 2009 Mazda RX-8 (R3) was a package for the 2009 - 2012 Mazda RX-8, which is a revised variant of the 2003 - 2008 model. The R3 came with an upgraded suspension, 19-inch aluminium-alloy wheels, racing seats, and a rear spoiler as standard. The 2009 model received a revised front fascia and new rear bumper in order to adopt the styling of the manufacturer's model range at the time. It was removed from the European market after failing to meet emissions standards in 2010.
