abstract	When Peter Barlow was arrested in July 2014 over the murder of Tina McIntyre, his unnamed solicitor was present with him whilst he was being questioned by DC Vanner and DS Hawthorn. Peter was later formally charged with Tina's murder as traces of her blood were discovered at the back of 1 Coronation Street and he was led away by the officers. The next day, the solicitor tried to convince Peter to plead guilty to the charges for a chance of a lighter sentence. However knowing he was innocent, Peter flatly refused and sacked the solicitor on the spot, as he needed someone who believed him to work with.
