- The Tribunal, also known as Cahair Binse (Chair of Judgement) (Pronounced by Wesley as /kəˈʀ̥ɜːr̥ ˈbiːnsə/) was a supernatural court from another world, settling matters through trials by combat. They could appear at any moment with little warning. They were able to provide protection to Jo and her child, who was believed to become a great force of good. Whether the tribunal themselves wield magical power and strength to ward off potential harm to the Jo, or whether they rely on weaponry or an army is unknown.
- During the quest Trial by Fire, this instance of the Consulate is used to hold a tribunal scrutinizing the actions of the Sunspears during the primary quests and missions leading up to this point. The progress and outcome of the trial has no influence on the storyline.
- The Tribunal was a system introduced in May 2011 by Riot Games Inc. to help discipline players and keep the community in check with the help of their peers. However, it has been disabled since early 2014, with replacement systems being slowly rolled out in the time since then.

- In every Metalocalypse episode, an Illuminati-style group of eight men known as The Tribunal (whom may also be referred to as "The Council") are shown meeting together to discuss Dethklok's latest activities and the dangers they pose. In their first meeting, all they know is the information given in the show's theme song (word for word), but they learn much more through research on fansites and other resources. At the first meeting, they mention that Dethklok's lineup resembles figures in an ancient Sumerian prophecy. One member, General Crozier, states, "If they're the ones we think they are, I think we should exterminate them immediately," implying that there may be more to Dethklok than an insanely popular band with an appetite for destruction.
